1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

The 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo remains unchanged from last year. It is available in two trims and to which are the LS and Z34. The MC LS trim has a standard engine of 3.1L V6, 160 @ 5200 rpm horsepower, and a torque of 185 @ 4000 rpm, while the MC Z34 trim has a standard engine of 3.8L V6, 200 @ 5200 rpm horsepower, and a torque of 225 @ 4000 rpm. The standard transmission for both trims is a 4-speed automatic overdrive. New for this model year is that both trims come standard with a rear window defroster and cruise control. Medium Auburn Night mist Metallic replaces Deep Purple Metallic as an exterior color.

Optional amenities include a power sliding moon roof, premium stereo with CD, leather seating and a rear deck spoiler. Standard on both models are power windows, power locks, air conditioning and an AM/FM stereo with cassette. Concerning safety, daytime running lights, crush zones, an energy absorbing steering column, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and dual front airbags are also standard. 197 1999 Monte Carlo consumers gave it an overall rating 8.7, 10 as the highest. Its style, Interior and recommendation ratings are the notable features of this car. A reliability rating of 3 for 5 was given to it.
