1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

In the last year of the fourth generation, MC, 1988 model year marked the end
of an era. The Aero Coupe had been dropped. The Monte Carlo was made available
in LS Sport and SS sport versions only. The former has a standard engine of 4.3L
140 hp V6, and latter has 5.0L 180 hp V8, but both have a 225 lb-ft torque.
The 1988 Chevy has a maximum seating capacity of 6. Sunroof, air conditioning,
power window and power door locks, and cassette player are optional for both trims.
For its review, 38 consumers gave it an overall rating of 9.1 for 10. But after
approximately three months of production, Chevrolet opted to completely cancel
the Monte Carlo model. Sadly, production of the Monte Carlo ceased by the second
week of December, and that will be the last time anyone would see the Monte Carlo
for seven long years.
